LGM Engineering awarded Japan Oshima shipyard’s LNG FGSS order for DF bulk carrier

In July 2020, Gloryholder Liquefied Gas Machinery (DL) Co., Ltd. (LGM Engineering) was awarded an order from Japan Oshima shipyard for design and supply of the LNG fuel gas supply system for 95k dual fueled bulk carrier. The shipowner is NYK Line, and the Classification Society is NK.

LGM Engineering will provide the design and complete LNG fuel gas supply system including; single wall PUF insulated LNG fuel tank with integrated tank connection space (TCS), gasification module and BOG handling system module. The scope of supply also includes LNG bunkering station module, water glycol system, saddle module and gas chamber integral module, the installation guidance of ESD systems and ventilation system, commission, crew training etc.

Mr. Liu Zhuo, Managing Director at LGM Engineering said: “It is our honor to obtain this project after Oshima shipyard has been carrying out quality assessment work at LGM for five years. LGM has satisfied the strict quality assessment requirements of Oshima shipyard, including continuous improvement of design and manufacturing standards for the specific projects. Therefore, the undertaking of this project is not only the first cooperation between LGM and Japanese domestic shipowners/shipyards, but also a new milestone for LGM in the international market of LNG supply system for dual fueled ships”. It is believed that in the near future, LGM will be recognized by more Japanese customers with the strong technical strength, reliable product quality and rich system integration experience, which will lay a firm foundation for the further development of Japanese market.
